Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd (Beijing Benz), founded on 8 August 2005, is a Sino-German joint venture invested by BAIC Motor, Daimler AG and Daimler Greater China Ltd (DGRC). Its business scope includes R&D, production of engines and complete cars, sales and after-sales service.
Currently, Beijing Benz has become a key part of Mercedes-Benz global production network owning the manufacturing bases of three major vehicle models of FWD, RWD and EV and the powertrain factories of engine and battery, and it’s also expanded the export business of core parts of engines and complete cars. On this basis Benz, there are currently 11 models of Mercedes-Benz vehicles being produced on the assembly line of Beijing Benz, i.e. the EQE, EQE SUV, EQA SUV, EQB SUV, long wheelbase E-class, long wheelbase C-class, long wheelbase GLC SUV, long wheelbase A-class sedan, GLA SUV, GLB SUV and Mercedes-AMG A 35 L 4MATIC.
For user’s sake, Beijing Benz has also built the quality center based on Mercedes-Benz global quality assurance criteria, and has been producing all the vehicles in comply with the unified global production standards and quality assurance system of Mercedes-Benz Group, to ensure each new car rolling off the assembly line of Beijing Benz is fully in line with Mercedes-Benz global standards.
In addition, as a demonstrative example of the Beijing auto industry transforming and upgrading to a higher and advanced level, Beijing Benz integrated the world cutting-edge manufacturing technology and modern management mechanism, and incorporated the craftsman spirit and modern philosophy of "Digitalization, flexibility, efficiency and sustainability" into each process of the production in order to facilitate the further high-quality growth. On this account, Beijing Benz successively won plenty honorary titles and awards, including the "the Factory of the year - Global Excellent Operation" Award, "Green Demonstration Factory", "Beijing Intelligent Manufacturing Benchmarking Enterprise", "Sino-German intelligent manufacturing cooperation pilot", the "Quality Management Award of Beijing Municipal People's Government", and so on.
